Averaging and spatial normalisation of 3D models using Free-D

This figure displays the average envelope of the male rat L6-S1 spinal cord segments, computed over n=9 individual models. Non-linear spatial deformations have been applied to map neuronal populations from each individual model into the average. This allows to visualize and analyze the relative spatial organization of different populations.
