The programs in this set of tools calculate isolation quality of clusters obtained from neural extracellular field / ensemble recordings using information-theoretic measures
Purpose
The C++ programs in this set of tools calculate isolation quality of clusters obtained from neural extracellular field/ensemble recordings. The measures determine how well single units from these types of recordings were isolated.
This set of tools consists of the following three programs (full documentation is provided in the four readme files).
isoi - This program calculates the Isolation Information (IsoI) cluster quality measures. These measures were designed for clusters obtained from neural extracellular field recordings, but are applicable to an arbitrary dataset.
isorat - This program calculates the Isolation Distance (IsoI) and L-Ratio cluster quality measures described in the references below. These measures were designed for clusters obtained from neural extracellular recordings.
wave2f - This program calculates the features from a text file consisting of waveforms from neural extracellular field recordings using tetrodes, and then saves the features to an output file. The features include peak, energy, and optionally, principal components of the waveforms.
